About Me
Hi! My name is Barbara Gonzalez Fuentes and I am currently studying in UWC East Africa in Tanzania. I was born and raised in a small city of Chile called Chillan that allowed me to have several experiences and to get to know different people to build connections with them. I genuinely enjoy dancing, pursuing outdoor activities, and writing to share some of the experiences and inspirational stories I’ve listened to.
My city gave me the opportunity to be a part of Fridays for Future and the feminist movement. All the experiences I had back in Chile helped me understand the significance of my Latin American roots. That's why I now embrace them wherever I go.

Studying in Tanzania for two years, with people from different countries, generates an extremely enriching experience that delivers tools for life and inspires us to become better everyday. Learning from others's experiences and from all the experiences that I've lived here myself, has been life-changing. Now I see Chile and the world with entirely new perspectives I could not have imagined before.
